Indication: For the clinical treatment of Pectus Excavatum, in patients who are too young for surgery, in cases of recurrence, for those who do not accept surgery, or as a preparatory step for surgery. The device works by providing traction, mobility, flexibility, and stimulation to the site of the deformity, and it can be used in combination with other conservative methods, including physical therapy and during physical activity.
Mechanism of Action: It is a silicone orthosis that, when used by male patients, has the shape of a disk/bell integrated with a transparent rigid material window/cover. However, when used by female patients, it has an hourglass shape to allow proper fitting between the breasts. The combination of these elements turns this device into a type of powerful suction cup. Once the product is positioned on the chest, the patient simply uses the manual pump attached to the orthosis to create a vacuum on the anterior chest wall, applying negative pressure. This device should be used in cases of Pectus Excavatum, which is a malformation of the chest wall and one of the most common congenital anomalies.
